Universities with the Most Bachelor's Students Admitted
Similar to previous years, ELTE admitted the most newly graduated high school students this year, with more than 5,800 students starting their university studies in bachelor's or unified programs. The second place went to the University of Debrecen, and the third to the University of Szeged.
For newly starting master's programs, the top two universities were the same (ELTE and University of Debrecen), but the third was BME (Budapest University of Technology and Economics).
The Highest Admission Score
One of the most surprising data points is that applicants to the German Studies program at the University of Pécs needed 490 points to get in. This was due to the low number of admitted students and the high number of very good applicants.
For the most popular course, Business and Management at Corvinus University was the hardest to get into, requiring 449 points.

The Oldest Applicant
The average age of this year's applicants was 24 years, significantly higher than the age of freshly graduated high school students. This is thanks to many older applicants wanting to return to school, with the oldest applicant being 78 years old.
