Agreement
After registering and applying for work on our website...
By signing this contract and agreement, you can work as a foodora rider as a student exclusively through our organization. If you wish to switch to another agency or become a self-employed contractor, you must wait for six months (an exception may apply if your student status ends during this time, but you wish to continue working as a rider, in which case you can immediately switch to self-employment).

A few important details from the contract
- Our partner will provide further details about this, but to work, you will need to download the "foodora rider" app, where you can track your shifts, deliveries and payments.
- The amount displayed in the app is referred to as the "amount seen in the app," but it is not your actual payment. From this amount, a fee of 273.052 HUF per worked hour is deducted. This fee covers our handling of your payroll, registration and other administrative tasks.
- If you are under 25 years old, you can calculate your payment as follows:
[AMOUNT SEEN IN THE APP = Gross] – (worked hours × 273.052 HUF) = [ACTUAL PAYMENT]
- If you are over 25 years old, you must also account for the 15% personal income tax (PIT). In this case, your payment can be calculated as:
[AMOUNT SEEN IN THE APP] – (worked hours × 273.052 HUF) × 0.85 = [ACTUAL PAYMENT]
Example:
For 100,000 HUF and 30 worked hours:
100,000 HUF [Amount seen in the app] – (30 [worked hours] × 273.052 HUF [service fee]) = 92,888 HUF × 0.85 [15% PIT] = 78,955 HUF net payment.
- Please note: According to regulations, if your monthly gross earnings exceed 576,601 HUF, the 15% PIT exemption does not apply even if you are under 25.
You can track the exact date of your payment (bi-weekly) on the foodora rider hub website.
The amount displayed in the app does not indicate an automatic transfer, as payroll processing is a task that requires human resources.

Conditions for Working as a foodora rider
- A condition for working as a foodora rideris having the rider equipment, which you don’t need to purchase, but you are required to pay a deposit of gross 20,000 HUF. This amount will be deducted from your first payment. You can track this in the app, where you will see once you’ve earned your first 20,000 HUF, covering the deposit. This amount will, of course, be refunded when you return the equipment!
- The contract and your membership with us do not include insurance; you are responsible for arranging this yourself. For scooters and cars, this is mandatory (third-party liability insurance - KGFB). While not required for bicycles, it’s important to note that if you have an accident while couriering, it will not be considered a workplace accident!

After signing
Once you have signed the agreement, the contract process is complete.
If you haven’t done so yet, please register on the foodora website. You can indicate that you want to be a foodora rider as a student and will work through Y Diák by following this link: futar.foodora.hu/en
The following details will be required: city + vehicle; name, phone number, email; age; which student cooperative you applied through (select Y Diák); T-shirt size; emergency contact in case of an accident. Once foodora has verified your documents and you receive an email from them, you will be able to request your equipment. The rest will be handled by foodora.

Occupational doctor referral
In parallel, you can also take care of the occupational medical exams. With the referral we provide, please visit our occupational doctor during office hours, where you will also receive a referral for a chest X-ray. If you already have a health booklet, a fitness certificate, and a chest X-ray report from within the past year, you don't need to complete the following steps. Simply upload the scanned copies of your health booklet, fitness certificate, and chest X-ray report to your profile created on the ydiak.hu website and inform us at foodora@ydiak.hu.
If you don’t have these documents, you’ll find all the necessary information on the referral provided. Until you have completed this, uploaded the documents, and we have approved them, you should not start working as a courier, as doing so would be illegal and could result in serious consequences.
